- You can either prepare your own taco seasoning or can use store-bought for this recipe.
- For preparing Taco seasoning, you can add tomatoes, jalapenos, lettuce, black olives, salsa, shredded cheese, and a dollop of sour cream and you are all set to go.
To start with the recipe, preheat oven to 355 °. Take a large piece of aluminum foil and shape it into a boat. Make sure that the foil size should be smaller than the size of your tortillas. Carefully, add tortillas into the foil. Fold any extra length you get over the tortillas. Repeat this process to make more tortilla boats and fill each boat with some rice or beans so they can stay in shape.
Place these boats in the oven and bake for about 15 minutes, until it turns lightly golden. Once done, keep them aside for some time.
In the meantime, take a large skeleton and heat oil in it over medium heat. Add onions, and cook until they become tender. After that, add garlic and cook until fragrant. Combine ground beef, red chili powder, and paprika in it and stir it well. Further season it with salt and ground black pepper. Keep stirring the meat occasionally and break the meat using a wooden spoon. Cook this mixture until there is no longer pink meat left. It will take around 7-8 minutes. Remove from the heat.
Once tortilla boats cool down, remove the foil and rice from the baked boats and fill each boat with cooked beef mixture. Top these boats with lettuce, cheese, pico de gallo, and sour cream. Serve these Beef Taco Boats hot and enjoy!
