What is Chew Sugar Cookies and how to make it?
These chewy Sugar Cookies are very classic, simple and easy to make. They don’t need any chilling and can stay chewy and soft for days. These cookies are chewy from inside while crisp from outside and taste so good. These classic cookies recipes are very easy to make and takes only 30 minutes to bake.
Tips to Make a Chew Sugar Cookies:
- While measuring the dough, we put it in a dry measuring cup and remove the excess.
- You can store these chewy cookies in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
Place oven racks in the top and bottom of the oven and preheat the oven 350 degree F line 2 baking sheet with parchment paper.
Take a small sized bowl and combine flour, baking powder and salt in it. Mix well and set it aside.
Take another large bowl and add sugar and butter in it. Using an electric mixer, beat the sugar and butter mixture until it becomes light and fluffy. This will take about 3-4 minutes. Add the vanilla extract and beaten egg into the mixture and whisk well to incorporate. Combine the flour mixture into the bowl (prepared in step 2) and whisk well. Make sure that mixture is well incorporated.
Add some sugar to a small bowl. Scoop out large portion of barter, roll them to form 2 inches rounds and further coat them in sugar. Arrange these prepared rounds on the lightly greased baking sheet. Make sure to place the balls 2 inches apart from each other.
Once done, place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and allow it to bake for 15 minutes. The bottoms and edges of the cookies should be light brown and cooked through. Once done, remove the cookies from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes. Repeat the same process with remaining cookies and serve hot with tea or coffee.
