Greek burger, also known as biftekia, is made with ground beef meat mixed with a variety of herbs along with egg and breadcrumbs. In short, all sorts of ingredients are added in the burger patties which you may grill, bake, or fry it. The end result you will get a delicious piece of meat.
In this recipe, the juicy and delicious greek burger is made using lamb and beef meat mixed with crumbled cheese, egg, and some herbs. It is further topped with lemon Basil Mayo sauce which adds some extra flavour to it.
Tips to make Greek Burger Recipe
- You can try this recipe with any toppings of your desire like pasto or avocado sauce.
- You may shallow fry the patties in the pan or bake them in the oven.
Take a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, fresh basil, fresh mint leaves, lemon juice and zest, garlic, salt, and fresh ground pepper. Mix all the ingredients well and until you’re ready to serve the burgers.
Preheat the grill to medium-high. Take a bowl and combine ground meats, cheese, egg, and spices together well and blend it well to form a good and smooth mixture. Form this mixture into four patties.
