What is Mac and Cheese Recipe and how to make it?

This mac and cheese recipe is very creamy and soft which is further topped with toasted bread crumbs to make it light crunchy. This dish is very popular among kids and very delicious in taste. This classic American dish is very quick and easy to make at home using macaroni, cheddar cheese. 

Tips to make Mac and Cheese

  • In order to make this recipe gluten-free, replace macaroni with your favorite sturdy gluten-free macaroni made of corn and quinoa blend.
  • To make this recipe softer, sprinkle some finely grated Parmesan cheese and toasted bread crumbs on it. 
  • Although it is recommended to consume mac and cheese fresh but in case you want to reheat it just simply place it in a microwave or stove for 30-50 seconds. Don’t do overheat.

Bring a medium pot of water to boil. Add macaroni and salt in it. Cook until it turns soft. In the meantime, make sure all your ingredients are measured and prepared.

Take a small bowl and mix all the spices in it i.e. garlic powder, onion powder, mustard powder and cayenne pepper.

Once your pasta is macaroni is cooked, drain the water. Add the macaroni in a colander and leave it there until dry. Return the empty pot to medium heat. Add the cream immediately and allow the mixture to come to a boil. While boiling, set a timer for 1 minute

Once a minute is over, add cheese and spices in it. Give it a nice stir so all the ingredients are well mixed and cheese is melted to produce a creamy sauce. After that, add Macaroni and stir it to coat evenly in cheesy sauce. Remove the pot from heat.

Taste and season with salt if necessary. serve immediately..
