In this Pizza recipe, fresh roasted garlic is used into a homemade white pizza sauce. Top with sauteed mushrooms, fresh herbs, and two types of cheese. This pizza combines the subtle taste of shiitake and crimini mushrooms with the hearty flavor of roasted garlic. It comes on a crispy gluten-free crust and is topped with tomato sauce and our Mozzarella and Cheddar Style Shreds.
Tips to Make A Garlic Pizza
- For Homemade Pizza Dough: To make homemade pizza dough, combine 2 teaspoons dry active yeast, 1 1/2 cups warm water, 3 1/2 cups flour, 2 tablespoons olive oil, and 1 1/2 teaspoons fine sea salt in a standing mixer until all that becomes a dough. Cover and let rise until double in bulk, 60 to 90 minutes. Punch the dough down and let it rise again about 30 minutes. Divide into 2 parts, and each one will make a 12-inch thin-crust pizza.
- This pizza can be prepared with many variations. You can try this recipe with olives, zucchini, thymes or any veggie of your choice along with roasted garlic.
Place a cooking rack on the bottom of the oven and pre- heat the oven
Peel off the outer layer of garlic and place the cloves on a square of tin foil. to 450 F.Brush them with some olive oil; sprinkle some black pepper on it. Take up ends of the foil to form a package around the garlic and put this foil packet in the oven. Roast the garlic in the oven for 30 minutes.
In the meanwhile, wash the mushroom and trim its ends. Chop it into small slices. Take a medium-sized skillet and add 2 tbsp of olive oil in it. let it heat for a minute and then add sliced mushrooms in it. cook it until mushroom starts turns brown. Also after 30 minutes, remove the garlic from the oven and set it.
