What is Steak Burger?
A steak burger is a kind of sandwich which is prepared using steak as the main ingredient. Mainly made of ground beef, it is combined with various accompaniments and toppings, which gives delicious flavors. In Steak Burger recipe, ground steaks are used to prepare juicy patties along with sauce–flavored onions, and creamy butter.
Special tips to make steak burger recipe with caramelized onions
- To make a delicious steak burger, you can top it off with BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, and even beetroot. To make it spicy add some chilies or chili sauce o get a sweet and sour flavor.
Making the Tangy Caramelized Onions:
Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a full pan on medium heat. Add onions, sprinkle some salt and pepper. Stir it occasionally and cook until onions are softened and turn brown.
Reduce heat to medium. Add finely chopped tomatoes and cook, keep stirring until it gets mixed thoroughly. Add soy sauce and vinegar. Also some brown sugar and butter in the pan and continue to cook. Add some water and stir it well. Once water gets evaporated, and onions are softened well switch off the flame and scrape this mixture into a bowl. Let it cool.
Making the burger
To prepare steak burger patties, take a large bowl and combine ground beef, pepper, garlic paste, soy sauce, chopped green onions, and ketchup. Toss it well and divide this mixture into 4 portions and shape into 4 inches wide, 1 inch thick patties. Press slightly in the center with your thumb to help keep these patties flat as it grills. Place it in the refrigerator until ready to use.
Pre-heat a grill for five minutes and grease some oil on the grills using a paper towel. Season patties on both sides with pepper and salt and place it on the grill. Grill it on each side till lightly charred on the bottom for about 2-3 minutes. Flip the side and top each patty with cheese. Once done, cover the patties in a foil and keep it aside.
Brush the burgers buns with some oil and place it on the grill until toasted, it will take around 30 seconds.
Now it is time to prepare the burger, apply some melted butter on the bottom buns and top each burger with lettuce leaves, place patties, and onions slices, caramelized onions and add some sauce on it, close with the top burger and serve hot.
