Made with small turkey meatballs, veggies, and cheese, this soup is full of extra nutrients and flavors. This lean turkey meatball soup is packed with lots of protein and makes a delicious meal. Turkey means is quite leaner and lighter than traditional beef or pork meatballs. In this recipe, we have used tender turkey meatballs, pasta and fresh herbs cooked in tomato broth, which makes Meatballs Soup healthier and delicious.
Tips to make Turkey Meatballs Soup:
- You can make the meatballs in advance and freeze them for a day or two. In case you are making turkey meatballs as a standalone dish, serve it with another sauce. In that case, make sure to cook the meatballs for about 20 minutes in the oven.

Once the bread is soaked completely in the milk, mash it well sing hands or fork and a fork until it makes pasta. Combine egg, garlic, onion, salt, pepper, oregano, parmesan cheese and ground turkey meat to the bowl. Gently mix all the ingredients and knead it until smooth. Form small balls out of this meat mixture and place them in a foil-lined baking sheet. Place this baking sheet containing meatballs in the oven and bake it for 10 minutes. You don’t have to cook it fully till brown.
Now its time to cook the soup. Take a large pot and heat2 tablespoons of olive oil in it. Add onions and garlic to the pot and saute it until golden brown.
After that, add tomato paste in the pot and cook for another 2 minutes. Add diced tomatoes, vegetable broth, and water to the pot and bring it to a boil. Drop meatballs to the pot and give a nice stir to it. After that, reduce the heat to low and let the soup simmer for minutes with covered lid. Keep stirring occasionally.
Season the soup with pepper and salt if required and add grated parmesan cheese and parsley on the top. Serve hot.
